Who is my top-candidate™ database for?
- Hiring managers who frequently use external recruiters.
- Recruiters who regularly do splits with other recruiters.
- Candidates interested in a discrete way finding new opportunities.
In addition to the core beneficiary group listed above, my top-candidate™ database if also for advertisers who wish to promote their HR industry related products and services to my extensive network of hiring manager and recruiter contacts.
Why did you put your database online?
I originally put my top-candidate™ database for personal use simply to take advantage of web application technology which I feel is superior to any software I can install on my PC. By doing so, I was able to achieve fully integrated functionality including resume parsing and formatting, boolean query searching, create e-mail templates, perform mass mailing, gain access to my data from anywhere as well as numerous other features.
Once my database was online, it occurred to me that I could increase its value to me and others by sharing it. My concept has been so successful that I am now developing a framework that will make it easy for all recruiters to publish their quality resumes online too.
How much does it cost?
It is free to sign-up and search my top-candidate™ database.
If you find a candidate of interest and you would like me to check their availability, I will do so at no cost as well. If the candidate is available, qualified and expresses interest in your opportunity, we will need to sign your standard fee agreement before I will release the candidate’s contact information.
Once the agreement is signed I will send you the candidate's contact information and work with you in whichever capacity you desire toward placing the candidate (i.e. in-depth screening, reference checking, etc).
My fee for a direct-hire via a hiring manager is 15% the candidate's first year compensation. My fee for a split via a recruiter is 25% of the recruiter’s placement fee. These fees represent significant savings compared to standard recruiter placement fees. However, the fees I charge for connecting you with candidates in my top-candidate™ database are not for recruiting services. They are for the promotion, enhancement and maintenance of this valuable resource.
How many resumes are in your database?
There are currently over 5000 resumes in my top-candidate™ database. In a typical week I receieve about 25 quality resumes which are added to my top-candidate™ database.
What percentage of the candidates in your database are passive candidates?
A significant percentage of my resumes are passive candidates. I have been collecting resumes for half a decade. Candidates cannot remove their resumes from my database like they can from a job board.
Are any of the candidates in your database also on the popular job boards?
I am sure there are. Actively searching candidates tend to post their resume on a number of different boards.
Why would I pay you a fee for a candidate I can find on another job board?
You should only pay fees where you find value. If finding the same candidate somewhere else and contacting them through a different channel is more cost effective for you then I certainly encourage you to do so.
I'm a recruiter, can you help me put my resume database online too?

I'm a candidate, can I upload my resume to your site?
It is not possible to upload a resume to my top-candidate™ database. Resumes must be submitted directly to me via e-mail or the contact form. Resumes are carefully screened and only resumes that meet the following criteria will be included in my top-candidate™ database.
- Good stability.
- Consistent career track.
- Highly focused, specialized skills set.
- University degree.
